Very Inspiring material, As musician and interpreter I can tell that there a close relationship between delivering a message through Linguistic Language and Musical Language. Both skills require high level of cognitive skills and a lot a practice to achieve mastery. I practice both skils everyday, Cheers!!

It's amazing to see what the well-trained are capable of achieving. I can only imagine the stress levels in anticipation of the jury's decision. The ability to simultaneously listen, assimilate and note the ideas is amazing, and the self-control when rendering the message is another area to develop... I want to be like that when I grow up. Thanks for your hard work, interpreters!

I started working as an online interpreter a month ago and I'm often wondering whether I am actually doing justice to the messages. I take notes somewhat efficiently BUT I am constantly having people who struggle to make sense or don't want to give info so they just mumble their way through, and this stresses me and I don't know what to do. SO I'm watching this vid to see if I can find a solution =)

The teachers at my school could have easily taught us this. Most feared interpreting at least to a certain degree, because we wrote down words / transcripts some of us couldn't decipher anymore when we had to interpret. They literally taught us NO strategy at all. Absolutely pathetic "education" system here in Germany!

One of the best professions in the world for sure. My profession of over 20 years now. Every day is a challenge and joy to perform to a diverse audience, from farmers to heads of state and government.
